Today,
let's learn about numbers.
We use two kind numbers in Korea. I mean we have two kinds of pronunciations
One is Korean Style, and the other one is Chinese Style.

We use Chinese Style numbers in currency & dates and almost any others we use Korean Style numbers.
ex) 1,000원(천원), 5,200원(오천이백원), 37,799원(삼만칠천칠백구십구원)
지금은 2009년(이천구년) 7월(칠월) 10일(십일) 금요일(Friday)오후(afternoon) 10시(열시) 44(사십사)분 17(십칠)초입니다.
*Please remember, for times we only use Korean style for hours and Chinese style for minutes, seconds. so 10시 57분 is 열시 오십칠분. it's not 십시 오십칠분.
"년" means year, "월" means month, "일" means day,
"시" means "hour", "분" means "minute, "초" means "second
월요일은 Monday , 화요일은 Tuesday, 수요일은 Wednesday, 목요일은 Thursday, 금요일은 Friday, 토요일은 Saturday, 일요일은 Sunday.
일월은 January, 이월은 Febrary, 삼월은 March, 사월은 April, 오월은 May, 유월은 June, 칠월은 July, 팔월은 August, 구월은 September, 시월은 October, 십일월은 November, 십이월 December은

When we count something, we don't count just numbers. we count the numbers with unit.
we have special unit for specific things.
Here are some units of them ;

사람(people)=명 or 분, 동물(animal)=마리, 사물(piece)=개, 차(car)=대, 컵(cup, glass)=잔, 병(bottle)=병, 밥(rice)=그릇, 책(book)=권, 나무(tree)=그루, 풀(plant)=포기, 꽃(flower)=송이....and many more.
